The runtime detects that you are using a mobile device and automatically redirects you to the mobile version of the page. For a page on a SharePoint Web site, you normally navigate to the same URL as you would on a computer client.
Use the emulator’s UI to launch a browser, such as Internet Explorer. The one difference is that the Synchronization Setup Wizard will prompt you whether to allow wireless connections to your device while it is connected to the computer. The remaining steps are almost exactly the same as those in Setting Up Mobile Device Emulators, beginning with step 5 in the procedure "Launch an Emulator".
The Windows Mobile 6.x emulator is listed in the Device Manager as a GUID under the Others node. If it is already open, click the Refresh button in it.

If this node has a child node called Standalone Emulator Images, skip the next step and continue with the procedure Launch an Emulator. On the Start menu, select All Programs and then Windows Mobile 6 SDK. On any other version of Windows, double-click the file. On Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008, right-click the downloaded msi file and select Run as Administrator. I am now on the Anniversary Update for Windows 10 and do not have the ability to debug those applications via the emulator.
When I try to install the Virtual Machine Network Driver from Virtual PC 2007 (the driver was extracted from the installer), it silently fails to install. Make sure that Virtual PC 2007 is installed. The required Virtual Machine Network Driver could not be found. The emulator access to the network it keeps saying the following: I created my own emulator for Windows CE 6.0 using the Platform Builder SDK as none was available to download.Įver since I upgraded to Windows 10, I have been unable to debug my applications written with Visual Studio 2008 on any of the emulators as they cannot browse the network or access any SQL Servers that are available on our network. I am one of many people who develop applications for Windows Mobile 6.5, Windows CE 6.0, and lower versions of these Mobile operating systems.
